My principal obsession is the ecology of work and the anthropology of the future.

I've been studying work and work technology for the past three decades. Along the way I coined the terms ‘hashtag’, ‘work management’, ‘social tools’, 'publicy', and ‘spreadbase’.

I'm the managing director of Work Futures, a research group, and the editor and chief contributor to the Work Futures newsletter.
